what do you do
when a car gets run off the road
onto the curb
and lands literally right in front of you?
what do you do
when you realize
you would be smashed
had you been five feet farther ahead?
what do you do when there's total chaos
and all these sirens
but you're completely zoned out
because right then and there
the world could have gone dark?
what you do is sit there on the curb
with glass in your hair
and the smell of gasoline n your nose
trying to figure out
what the hell just happened.
