SUCH AS LIFE

How come i can't just be content.

I got what I wanted.

But I don't wanna leave what I have.

I've grown to appreciate

But now I have to leave

I just want to have my cake

and eat it too.

I want to have my ice cream

But be given a spoon.

Thats not the way life is though.

Theres always give and take.

How come everytime

Something makes me happy,

Somewhere my heart still breaks?
