LAY ME DOWN

As my cat gently sleeps,
The candles burn.
I lay here,
Against the pillows,
Pouring out my cares,
Worries, joys and prayers,
In hopes of finding
The purpose of them all.
My prayer tonight...
Before I lay me down to sleep
I give the page
My words to keep
And hope to God
Its not in vain
And tomorrow
My heart beats free of pain.
